Description of the PALANKA Coat of Arms
Translated for us by Alex Leeb, from the PALANKA ORTSSIPPENBUCH.
Description of the coats of arms, Volume 0ne page 8.
A reconstruction of the Coat of Arms seals the writing " geographically and historical community writings of the County Bacs Bodrog " (Szabadka, 1907. Volume V, page 81 - 86), from which the oldest form was selected in each case.
I. Old Palanka:
Iron plough with one or two shares, ( for cutting and turning blade of a plow) will cut a furrow on top of each other. Over it in 2 rows with the inscription " B. II and " II- C J." 1774 put in use.
II. New Palanka:
The coat of arms seal divides into 2 fields. In the lower field 3 large and 2 small trees symbolize a forest. In the upper field along the river there are several other trees. " Sig. Kum. Palankae ". 1775 in use.
III. German Palanka:
The picture is not clearly visible. To detect a man who is mowing and gleaning. " Sig. Reo. Caal. Poss. Teuto Palanka ". 1829 in use.
A drawing or a copy of the Coats of Arms could not be procured, since these documents are in the Yugoslav files and are not accessible for foreign countries. Likewise it could not be determined in the files by Sombor (where allegedly these documents were available). However it could be determined that in the file of Sremski Karlovac in this connection seals were present, then the Coats of Arms of Old-Palanka and New Palanka (however very poor) a copy could be made. After these were supplied by myself in Yugoslavia, I manufactured the documents myself and the reconstruction of the Coats of Arms, whereby the description of Old and New-Palanka from the file of Karlovac with the description of Stevan Ivanyi from the book of 1907, covers against what the description of German Palanka, only the description from the above-mentioned book are the basics.
Manufactured Heidenheim, in September 1981.
