Myrtle I. Gard grew up in the town of Enumclaw, Washington
where she attended high school and was active in the school band and in
sports. After graduation she went to work at Boeing
Aircraft in Seattle until she landed a job with "Western Airlines" as a
stewardess for a couple years. She was based at the Los Angeles (LAX)
airport where she met her husband, John Feldenzer. Myrtle later went to
work with Northrop Aircraft as a secretary until her husband was
transferred to San Jose, California with Pacific Bell (Pac-Bell) Telephone
company. In San Jose she worked for General Electric as a secretary.
Myrtle and her husband retired in 1995 and moved to the town of Libby,
Montana where they built a log home on the Kootenai River just
outside of town.
